The Role of Our Advisory Group

Together as critical friends, our Advisors help us remain accountable to the sector we serve — providing insight, constructive challenge and strategic steer, grounded in lived realities and aligned with the needs of cultural practitioners, organisations and communities.

They help us test assumptions, diversify perspectives and champion voices that might otherwise be under-represented — supporting an evidence base that speaks for the whole sector, not just its most resourced or most visible parts.

Drawing on their networks and experience, the Advisory Group helps position Counting Culture within local, regional and national conversations about culture, place-making, investment and social impact.

Overall, the Advisory Group exists to keep Counting Culture grounded, relevant and impactful — strengthening cultural value and supporting informed decision-making across Greater Essex.
